Which languages are supported?
Audio guides are available in 150+ languages, so you can listen in your native language almost anywhere in the world. The app interface itself is translated into 83 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and many more. You can change the language and the narrator's voice at any time from the settings.
Does Folomi work offline?
The map and audio require an internet connection to load places and stream guides for the first time. Once an audio guide has been played, it is cached on your device and can be replayed without connection.
Why does the app need my location?
Location is used to show your position on the map, suggest places near you, and guide you along walking tours. You can use most of the app without granting precise location, but tour navigation and “nearby” features rely on it.
Do I need an account to use the app?
No. You can continue anonymously and start listening right away. Signing in with Apple or Google lets you sync your profile, history, and progress across devices.
What does the subscription give me?
The free version lets you try Folomi with a limited number of audio guides. The subscription removes that limit and unlocks unlimited audio guides. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your device's App Store / Google Play account settings. Billing is handled by Apple or Google — Folomi never sees your payment details.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used originally and open the paywall screen — your subscription will be restored automatically.
Can I change the narrator's voice or language?
Yes. Open the language selection screen to pick from the available voices and locales. The change applies to all future guides you play.
How is my listening history tracked?
Every place you finish listening to is saved to your history, so you can revisit guides you enjoyed. History is tied to your account when you sign in.
What is the leaderboard?
The leaderboard ranks listeners based on places they have explored. It's a fun way to see how active you are compared to other Folomi users.
How do I delete my account?
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app: open Profile → Delete account. This removes your profile, listening history, leaderboard data, and downloaded content.
